Satliva Red Raspberry Face Cream

Satliva Red Raspberry Face Cream, product review

Finding the right moisturizer for your skin is downright the toughest task I have come across. It is easy to find a cleanser (not that easy, I admit, but then t gets washed off in a minute) or serum or even facial oil for that matter. But, not the moisturizer because it is supposed to stay at least 6-8 good hours. So, whenever I try a new moisturizer I am not usually optimistic and it was in same frame of mind I started using Satliva red raspberry face cream.

Over and above that this product has shea (sorry, it’s) mango butter which can be extremely moderately heavy and has hemp seed oil and raspberry oil. Especially given the weather and my combination skin, I thought I made the wrong choice when I was selecting the products for review. The only reason I picked this up was the presence of red raspberry oil which is known to be the best natural sun protector so if you can get your hands on the red raspberry oil, nothing better than that!!

Satliva Red Raspberry Face Cream, product review

Now that I have laid my heart out, let me start by saying that my presumptions were wrong. To start with, this is definitely an expensive product but then I have bought moisturizers worth 1500 for 50gms and they do not last as long. Since you need a really tiny amount, this tub of 40gms is going to last you a good 2-3 months of twice a day use.

Coming to how it feels on skin. I take very little of the product and spread it a little on my left palm. And, then, I go dabbing it all around my face, neck and decolletage. It sinks in well but I like to make my face really wet before applying this. It just helps with better absorption and helps spreading the product as well.  The moisturizer does not feel oily at all and spreads more or less easily.

I can guarantee that the product will suit all skin types except oily. I would not make any claims for oily or acne-prone skin as I am not sure mango butter is comedogenic or not. As the ingredient list states, it is indeed a face butter and may be heavy if you overuse it.

I have used this cream in various ways to see how it works. For almost fifteen days, I have used only this product for my face day and night. Then, I started layering it with sunscreen and eventually with other products in my regime.’

Satliva Red Raspberry Face Cream, product review

When I was using this alone, I would generously spray my face with floral water, take a tiny amount of the cream on the palm, dab it all around and massage it in quickly along with the mist. This was for both morning and night. A few people did compliment about my glowing skin as well.

Also, almost at the end of fifteen days, I got a facial done. With satliva red raspberry face cream, my major concern was blackheads. My nose is prone to them! And I was sure using this heavy moisturizer would make them worse. But, the lady doing the facial did mention that I had very few blackheads. So, yay to that!

After using it alone, I started pairing satliva red raspberry face cream with sunscreen. I have to add that it does not make the skin oily or greasy but it might cause sweating when the weather is too hot. Thankfully, Hyderabad cooled down pretty soon this time so I did not find it to sweat much. It paired up with sunscreen nicely and no greasiness.

Next, I added vitamin C below the cream and later on layered The Ordinary Marine hyaluronics below the vitamin C and topped it up with squalene oil and finally the face cream and sunscreen. Still not much sweating when weather was moderate and no greasiness at all. And, skin was healthy looking and moisturized all day long. And, to those thinking, yes it thankfully did not get too heavy for the skin either!

Another way I used this was on my lips.  I doubled it up as a lip balm as well and it works well I must say.

Satliva makes their products fresh on order

Overall, I would say that satliva red raspberry face cream is a great all-purpose balm / product instead of being just a moisturizer. Definitely worth a try just like their charcoal soap. I did think summers might be too heavy for this product but I was wrong. One thing I would mention is it works well in dry weather. I can not comment for humid areas.

And, yes, a point to mention is that the product does melt a bit when it is too hot and loses its texture just like any other butter does. Not a problem because it does not impact the efficacy. However, if you like to preserve the texture of the product, you can store it in the fridge. I have been using it day and night for more than a month now and there is a lot left. I would toss this in my day bag for any emergency.

So, it’s your turn now . . .

Do you like using butters on your face? Have you ever tried one? I would definitely recommend you to try satliva red raspberry face cream once and share how you like it!
