Baking Soda for Acne

Swathy · September 8, 2010 · Leave a Comment

We all know that baking soda is an all-purpose ingredient in the kitchen. It can be used to bring volume to your hair, whiten teeth naturally, as a lip scrub or body scrub, even washing the hair and, what is more, washing clothes and utensils about the house.
Today, I bring another skin care use of baking soda. This is for acne. Make a paste of baking soda with water and apply to the affected parts anywhere on the body. Wait till it dries off and wash with cold water. Do it at least twice a week but no more than once a day. Your skin will become smooth and acne-free.

Another Exercise for Beautiful Breasts

Swathy · September 4, 2010 · Leave a Comment

I do not know how many of you have gone through my earlier post on exercises for firming your breasts and home remedies for making them big. But, not having beautiful and perky breasts are a big low-down for women whether they show it or not. Knowing that your body and all its parts are beautiful brings a different kind of confidence and attraction to the person. So, if you are low on your self-image, you should go through those posts. I am sure they would be of help and I can vouch that they have helped me.
Now, I want to add another exercise which you can do make your breasts firmer and more round. Bring both your palms together and press hard in the namaste position parallel to your breasts and press them as forcefully as you can against each other. This helps in tightening the muscles within the breasts. You might feel that this would be no good. At least I thought so unless I tried it. To see the visible effect, try this sometime in the shower and you would see the immediate change in the position of breasts when you are pressing the hands. Your breasts shift upwards and become more perky and rounded.

Coriander for Skin and Hair

Swathy · September 3, 2010 · 94 Comments

Yes, this might sound a little weird but its true. Dhaniya (coriander) which is extremely useful in garnishing and which we, literally, sprinkle without really thinking helps in combating hair loss. And, there are scores of ways to ingest this veggie. So, whether you include it as part of your spinach-lettuce drink or banana-honey biotin drink, it will bring no change in taste and add more health.
You would be surprised at the amount of health benefits this supposedly insignificant veggie can provide. To name some, it reduces fever, improves stomach capabilities, lowers blood cholesterol, treats diarrhea and improves menstrual flow. It is rich in proteins, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamin C, iron, water and many more. Including it regularly in the diet provides a complete palate of nutrients into our bodies.
To help with hair loss, you can also infuse your oil with dried coriander seeds. You can also make coriander hair rinse by boiling a bunch of coriander leaves in enough water and cooling it. And, who knew that coriander would be good for pimples, blackheads and dry skin too. At least, I did not. Take a little of coriander juice or fresh coriander leaves and grind it with a pinch of turmeric. Apply it on your pimples or complete face and wash off after it dries. So, now, coriander does not just remain some insignificant bunch of leaves lying around.
