Inveda Cryo Mask Product Review

inveda cryo mask product review

Lately, my skin has really not been doing well so I got this inveda cryo mask at the right time. It looked quite exciting to me. Not everyday you come across a new sort of product. So, check out what I think about it!

Inveda Cryo Mask Product Review

Price : Rs 165 for 20 gms, quite expensive!!

Do you Know?

The first ingredient of this product is Diatomaceous Earth. It is a naturally occurring powder related to silica family. It is a detoxifying agent and its electrical charge helps it to attach to the free radicals and other toxins. It dries out the harmful toxins from the skin just like bentonite clay. It is more beneficial to consume it actually. But, if applied on the skin, it can draw out the impurities and exfoliate when removing it.

Usage

it is a lot of product for one use so feel free to store a bit for next time!

It is a one time use product so it comes in a 20 gms sachet. Mix 50 ml of water. Yes, you should measure it otherwise you might just over water it or under water it.

After you mix it, the product turns into a green paste. Once you apply it, you will look like Shrek from Shrek, obvo 😀 Once the product dries, it is supposed to be peeled off as it sets like a thick mask.

How to Apply?

I was not sure what to expect from the product. Anyways, I applied it on. Turned out that my mask became too watery. I did add a little extra water. Lesson for next time – follow the instruction to a ‘T’. It took around 15 minutes to dry off. And, then, it is ready to peel and be ready for the mess.

as you can see, my mask was a little on runny side. it turns into mint green when mixed with water and looks really cool 🙂

Point to note is that you should apply it in a thick layer. Though product looks like a lot when you are applying it, it is actually enough only to cover your face and neck so make sure it is quite thick even if it takes more time to dry. Peeling it would be easier. One more thing to remember is make sure you have all your hair tucked away otherwise it will dry in clumps on your hair and is quite a mess to remove.  Also, do not let it get too dry.

Once the mask is set and stops sticking to your hand, it is ready to peel off. Be ready for a lot of mess so make sure you are at your sink or in the bathroom.

Results

Do not let this mask get too dry when it becomes powdery. Otherwise, if you remove it just when it looks wet but does not stick to the skin, it does not dry out your skin and is easy to remove. Once you peel off the complete mask, rinse off with cold water to get rid off the bits and pieces of the mask. And, moisturize.

Immediately, I felt my skin felt light and really clean. I also felt as if the mask had exfoliated the skin as well. It really removed my dead skin and the serum and moisturizer I applied just disappeared into the skin. There was no much brightening effect except for a little glow.

The next day, my skin was glowing. Now, I am not sure whether it was the Inveda Cryo Mask or a mix of Estee Lauder ANR and Midnight Recovery from Kiehl’s. The glow lasted a good 2-3 days and it did improve my skin quality as well. In fact, my skin problems have definitely reduced a bit since I used this mask. There is a constant glow since then.

Read the instructions carefully and check out the really short and tempting Ingredient List

What I do not like about this product?

First. Definitely expensive even if you do not end up using the entire product at one go. The amount of product will probably last for 2-3 uses at max.

Second. The measurements look a little intimidating at first. So, mix just enough of water to make a flowing paste of the product. Not too thick or runny. Btw, 20 degree water is under room temperature so do not make it even lukewarm.

Third. Packaging. It should have come in a tub instead so that storing is not an issue if you are not able to use it all in one go.

Fourth. Really really messy and if you let it dry too much, do not remove it. Just go under the shower and rub it off. It is easier that way. And, get your bathroom cleaned the next day.

Fifth. Nothing has been specified regarding how often it should be used. I think you need to apply it once a week because of the deep cleansing and detoxification it does.

Final Verdict

I am surely impressed by the inveda cryo mask irrespective of the mess and expense. But, I got only one sachet of it so I am not sure how it does in the long run.

What do you feel about this Inveda Cryo Mask? Have you heard of Diatomaceous Earth or used it? Sounds interesting for sure, doesn’t it?

Great review. I have seen this product in Nykaa but hesitated to buy it as I don’t know how it will perform. I think I will give it a try now after reading your review. Though its expensive, we can use it for special occasions.
