Do you feel ticklish? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · November 14, 2012 · 11 Comments

Hehe…I do!!! In fact, when ever I have to get underarms done, its a big torture for me 😀 Being ticklish with burning hot is not exactly an amazing position to stay in!! And, I anyway have a low tolerance to pain. In fact, this time when I went for waxing, I did face a lot of pain, more than normal.
I am thinking of taking an aspirin next time. Probably, it might help through the torturous sessions 🙁 In fact, I got my arms waxed after a long time. I know I am weird 😀 And, honestly, my arms have lost all sensations!! I don’t quite know how to explain it. You might understand what I am saying if you are not used to getting your arms waxed regularly.
The reason I don’t get my arms waxed regularly is because they are quite dry and prone to allergies and also, their get tanned very quickly. In fact, I can also say that my arms have started itching badly and are very very sensitive right now. Do you have any remedies for it? Oh, and, also, are you ticklish?

Do you mind disclosing your age? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · October 18, 2012 · 14 Comments

So, yup, fun time!!! Yay…I am touching one of the touche topics of our gender 😀 So, what do you think? You mind if someone asks you your age? Do you prefer to hide it? Or, do you glory in your age and feel proud of it, irrespective of your status in life (meaning marriage and pregnancy and kids, etc.)?
For me, I do not really mind disclosing my age. But, then, I am 26 and if I say that, people do often think why am I not married yet. I don’t like people thinking about that otherwise I totally love it. I do feel sometimes I would love to be married but then I can’t marry just anyone.

Otherwise, I think I glory in my age. I feel more confident of myself, my body, my mind, the way I think, everything!!! In fact, do you know that if not your face or dressing sense, the way you carry yourself, your confidence gives away your age and sometimes you might just appear a little older according to your maturity.
In that way, you might think its always better to be more immature. Yes, its really good to be a kid at heart. It not only keeps the passion for life alive in you, it also keeps you healthy. But, make sure your intellect doesn’t remain childish. That’s not exactly an attractive trait!
So, do you appear your age? Or, are you more mature for your age?

Do you stop in middle of your exercises? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · September 26, 2012 · Leave a Comment

This question is prompted by two facts. One of my friends with whom I regularly go for a walk always gets tired by the end of fourth round and prefers to sit down before continuing. We walk on a walking track of around 750 metres on which we prefer to take four rounds every night. Also, I have another friend whom I used to accompany occasionally on her walking trips and she used to totally halt in between the walks because she used to get tired. And, no it never used to be brisk or on a very difficult terrain either and not long even (around just 1km) and she always had jogging shoes on!!!

Yes, I do feel bad for people who are young and can’t walk even that much. This is when I always realize how important it is to be physically active because I do not desire to be in either of my above-mentioned friend’s place. I am lazy and that’s where it all ends. But, I just wanted you to ask if you stop in between when you are doing any mild form of exercise. Also, it opens up an interesting theory which I have been meaning to share with you all since quite long.

Did you know that when you are exercising, it is advised to vary your paces with time. So, for example, if you are walking, start slowly and then work up to a brisk walking pace and then suddenly slow your pace to slow walk and then keep on varying the speeds of your walk. Likewise, when you are cycling, going from vigorous to light to medium to heavy to vigorous is recommended. The reason is it improves stamina and burns more calories. But, at any point of time, stopping the exercise in between is never EVER recommended. If you are used to doing so, never ever do that!!! Always start slow and end slowly and if you feel you are tired, slow down but NEVER STOP.

So, for how long do you take your walks or keep your exercises going? Do you prefer to stop or vary your paces?
