5 Reasons Why You Must Apply Sunscreen Everyday

Swathy · May 2, 2018 · Leave a Comment

never skip sunscreen, apply sunscreen always

Updated from 8th June, 2016. As much as I can preach to the choir about the benefits of sunscreen, I can not reap those benefits myself. I am lazy and have a very undisciplined routine in that way. But, I can see the dark spots and blemishes and hyperpigmentation on the skin on my bad days which acts as a constant reminder to why one should apply sunscreen diligently. So, check out the five reasons not to skip this routine.

As much as I love to preach that you should NEVER skip sunscreen, it is one rule I can never follow thoroughly. Either my laziness or the feel when I apply anything on my skin stops me from pursuing the course.

Having said that, I always try to start the routine and maintain it successfully as much as I can. Thus, I know the difference in the skin when you regularly apply sunscreen and when you discontinue it. So, lets see what you lose by not following the number one skin care rule.

5 Reasons Why You Must Apply Sunscreen Everyday

Sun damage is cumulative. The damage an be minimized with proper protection and skin care routine over a period of time but skin never really recovers from the damage already wrought on it. So, beware when you decide to skip the sunscreen next time.

Quality of Skin Changes

You would notice a marked change in the quality of your skin. If you skip sunscreen, your skin becomes a little tough and looses the plumpness which it naturally has and it has nothing to do with lack of hydration. It is something very subtle and indefinable but you feel it when you have alternated in the periods of putting on sunscreen and skipping it.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

So, last time I wrote about the products I was hoping would turn out great but instead they turned out to be duds, there were many scrubs in the list. All scrubs I have used till date were the physical ones with apricot or walnut granules which would tear the skin so I wanted something which would do a deep exfoliation instead of a superficial one. When I came across the body shop vitamin c microdermabrasion, I was not very hopeful but anyways thought of giving it a try! And, boy am I glad that I did it.

The result is often a very soft and glowing skin which feels and looks clean. It helps a bit with blackheads but does not remove them from the roots completely. Among all the scrubs I have used till date, this is my best.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion Product Review

Price : Rs 1,750 for 100ml

Expensive? Yes! But, then I think we are all used to these prices now. So, moving on, I love the packaging. The orange color of the entire vitamin C range is eye catchy and just refreshing. The texture of the body shop vitamin C microdermabrasion is creamy and grainy and it smells a little typical, nothing citrusy or lemony.

The Body Shop Shower Gels – British Rose and Moringa

The Body Shop Shower Gels - British Rose and Moringa

Another bane of my life apart from finding the perfect moisturizer is finding a good soap or a body wash which does not dry me up. LÓccitane almond shower oil seems to be a perfect choice for such a body wash but it is too pricey to be used daily. I was definitely intrigued by the British Rose range of body shop and wanted to try it for myself. And, then, the prices were reduced or sale was on or some such thing so I got these two body shop shower gels for myself among other things.

Unfortunately, the body shop shower gels smell amazing but do nothing for skin except cleaning it. Leaves skin dry and if you do not moisturize, it gets all white and flaky which is not a pretty sight.
