The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

So, last time I wrote about the products I was hoping would turn out great but instead they turned out to be duds, there were many scrubs in the list. All scrubs I have used till date were the physical ones with apricot or walnut granules which would tear the skin so I wanted something which would do a deep exfoliation instead of a superficial one. When I came across the body shop vitamin c microdermabrasion, I was not very hopeful but anyways thought of giving it a try! And, boy am I glad that I did it.

The result is often a very soft and glowing skin which feels and looks clean. It helps a bit with blackheads but does not remove them from the roots completely. Among all the scrubs I have used till date, this is my best.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion Product Review

Price : Rs 1,750 for 100ml

Expensive? Yes! But, then I think we are all used to these prices now. So, moving on, I love the packaging. The orange color of the entire vitamin C range is eye catchy and just refreshing. The texture of the body shop vitamin C microdermabrasion is creamy and grainy and it smells a little typical, nothing citrusy or lemony.

How does it feel on the skin? First rule of exfoliation. Always make sure your skin is thoroughly wet. I take a little of the scrub and apply it all over in the dots and massage gently. It feels gritty on skin and can sting a bit if skin is overly sensitive or has been extremely dry lately. Sometimes, the product can be too harsh for the skin. And, sometimes the granules are just right for the exfoliation.

I think how the product feels on skin is dependent on your skin and how it has been doing. If it has been doing fairly well, you can go easy with the product and use it only once in two or three weeks. If you feel your skin needs extra care or has been extremely dry lately, you could use it once a week. But, this is something which you have to decide on your own depending on your skin condition and always be gentle with massage.

I find that it suits my dry-cum-combination skin fairly well. And, I am sure it will suit oily skin as well even though the texture is just a bit creamy. I do not find it too harsh on my smaller breakouts but then always go easy with exfoliation on pimples. I like to follow up with a hydrating and cooling mask after using this to soothe the skin just in case it was too much. You can also use aloevera gel.

I do love this product on my neck and decolletage. And, it would suit perfectly for the knees and elbows as well, even arms for that matter. The result is often a very soft and glowing skin which feels and looks clean. It helps a bit with blackheads but does not remove them from the roots completely. Among all the scrubs I have used till date, this is my best. I would definitely recommend you to try it in case you are looking for one. And, I have a surprise coming up on Monday so stay tuned!!

So, how do you feel about the body shop vitamin C dermabrasion? Does it suit your skin or did you find it too harsh?
