Garnier Daily Care Gentle Cleansing Milk {Product Review}

Garnier Daily Care Gentle Cleansing Milk Product Review

So, on the days you do not want to write anything serious, product reviews can be a boon but let me make it very clear when you are doing a serious review, writing the review itself is a huge issue!! Anyways, coming back to the product, I am not a fan of cleansing milks because they get empty very soon 🙁

This cleansing milk is very thin and spreads easily on the face and neck and arms easily. It does remove the makeup pretty well. I can not really talk about kajal, though. But, then, kajal is probably the most stubborn in my stash except for mascara.

Pros
removes makeup really well
does not leave any film on the skin
gets washed off easily

Garnier Daily Care Gentle Cleansing Milk Product Review

So, that’s pretty much my review of the product. Btw, I want to leave you pondering on something which I want to discuss soon enough. What is the difference between face washes and cleansers and cleansing milks? Do you think one can be used in place of another?

Also, I would like to tell you all that I shall probably not be around this weekend on the blog so please excuse the unanswered comments. These days I am getting time to answer them only in the weekends. So, see ya all on Monday. And, wish you all a very Happy Independence Day 🙂
Availability
The product is easily available but I got it from myntra.

Have you used the product? What special are you doing for the Independence Day?
PS: Product sent by website.

Why are people biased against makeup? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · July 14, 2013 · 10 Comments

Hey Everyone! So, yeah, I have seen so many people biased against makeup. And, the most glaring example came up just few days back. It was actually quite a funny incident.
So, my friend comes over for a nightcap and the next day she sees me getting ready to go out and she is like “Whoa, you use way many products! Why do you need this and that?” And, I am rendered speechless because she comes up with her trump card “Why so many chemicals!“.
I am like “Huh…there we go again!“. I am so tired of this chemical thing, honestly! Anyways, what my daily routine before heading out for the day is applying Garnier Anti Dark Circles Eye Roll-on, sunscreen and Ponds BB cream.

Ok, I am not a fan of long routine and multiple layers on my face but then I am trying out both Garnier and Ponds products so can’t really skip them but how to explain that! Anyways, I was like “its ok, no!” and she is like “people apply makeup to get fair. You don’t really do that, right?”.
Ok, I have never really believed in applying makeup simply because of the fact that it was just too much of work but never did I believe that people do it to make themselves fair. Well, it might be the reason why makeup originated but today it holds a very different meaning.
If it had been to make people fair, I would say it would all be white! Why to bother buying foundations of skin color. Well, I think makeup is to look professional or to conceal few flaws or brighten the skin but that doesn’t really mean its bad!
I mean I have no reason why people are so biased if you get made-up but I know people who count tinted lip balms in lipstick category. Ok, I have to say I don’t really know the difference between a lipstick and tinted lipbalm but seriously! Why the hell be biased against the entire thing altogether? And, btw, what do you call tinted moisturizers and sunscreens?

Oh btw, if you were not already aware, only prostitutes were thought to have painted faces once upon a time but we already know that the normal makeup and THAT kind of makeup are a lot different. The entire concept of makeup and toe-nail painting took birth in France, I suppose. But, since then, lot of things have changed and this is not 1800’s! As Tom Hanks once said “I wear makeup for my living!”.

What do you say? Do you consider people who wear makeup as different?

Do you apply a primer before makeup? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · July 7, 2013 · 4 Comments

I thought this post would form a very interesting premise to a post which is gonna come soon. No, its not gonna be on makeup but I think primer is much more useful than just being a base for makeup!
Anyways, leaving all that, do you know what a primer is? A primer forms a base on which makeup can be applied smoothly. So, one can draw an analogy from a smooth canvas on which an artist can create his art with ease. Or, may be the plaster on which paint is applied so that it does not peel off!!
For me, a primer is something which absorbs oil on the skin, keeps it matte and provides a smooth base for the next product so that there is an even look. Also, it keeps the entire makeup in place for long and does not let the face become dull.

Now, there are a lot of primers available depending on the functionality of the product like a foundation primer or eyelid primer or even mascara primer! Anyways, this concept of primer probably originated from the use of primers in painting and woodwork.
So, do you apply primer before makeup? Which primer do you like best?  Have you ever heard of primers?
