How to take care of your post coloured dry hair? – My Hair Diary

cysteine infusion reviews and hair color
My Red Hair – way back in August

It has been 6 months since I got my dry hair coloured. The reds are the worst as they fade the fastest. That is how Katrina Kaif managed to spend 55L on the Chinar-esque shade she got which I absolutely fell in love with. My red lasted for 3 months and since then my hair is chocolate brown which is not too bad if I can say so.

In the long run, I can also claim that my dry hair is doing pretty well after the intensive chemical treatment it went through. But, yes, the post coloured dry hair care is an intensive process. You canΒ  let it go for even a week. I do slip off quite a many times and make up for it by getting a hair spa! Anyways, let me share what I did and did not do which you should do.

My hair NOW – feels extremely soft, the color is of course weird and growth is not uniform either. Hope the shorter layers will grow soon enough. You can also see the difference between cysteine treated and freshly coloured hair vs regular hair.

Shampoo less but not too Less

I have noticed in the past one year that my hair behaves best when washed on alternate days. The more I go without washing, more hair falls. Find out the optimum time your hair behaves well without shampoo and stick to that. Two should be good if you have normal hair but three is good for both oily and dry hair.

deFabulous reviver shampoo and conditioner product review

Updated on 28th December, 2015

Remember how I had been talking about cysteine and hair color for the last 6 months? If you are really thinking of getting it done, I would suggest you to wait for the hair diary coming right across in few days. I am having second thoughts about the entire procedure now that I am oiling my hair again and have been taking care of it like I used to. But, I have to say that these chemical treatments did make me discover some fabulous products and this range is one of them.

Earlier, Organic Surge was my favorite but deFabulous has replaced every other shampoo-conditioner duo in my bathroom. I do feel that organic surge makes my hair frizzy but I am not really sure about it since I was not diligently taking care of it either. Anyways, let us check out what I think about the product.

So, before proceeding, I would like to mention that since I am not supposed to oil my hair, I really can NOT comment on whether the product removes oil or not. This does not hold true anymore. I did get my hair colored sometime in July but now the color has gone off. So, I finally oiled my hair first time in November after months. The shampoo cleans the scalp and hair really well.

My Hair Diary – June 2015

my hair diary for june 2015

Bahubali

I know you might have read tons and tons about the movie by now but it is just too good to pass on without me mentioning about it. I have to say that I am in love with the movie. It is so larger-than-life and it is not the story but the portrayal of the characters. Finally, an Indian movie on par with Troy and Gladiator and what not! And, yes, I know many of its scenes are inspired from the above movies but who cares! They are damn good inspirations and the inspired is equally a masterpiece.

A special mention about Ramya Krishnan. She is magnificent, especially in the scene where she kills a man and then calms down her crying toddler and goes on to feed two of her sons. It is amazing!

And, even if you are a North Indian and can NOT relate to South Indian movies (trust me when I say I know what I am talking about), I would strongly urge you to go and WATCH it. You do NOT want to miss the treat and yes, this is just the half. The second part of releasing next year! And, this makes me happy that I have finally started watching telugu movies πŸ™‚

And, yes, do not forget to share your opinions about the movie if you have watched it already πŸ™‚

How is my Cysteine Treatment doing?

So, last month I shared with you that I had got cysteine infusion done on an impulse. And, now it has been over a month since the treatment. So, let us see how is my hair doing after a month.

Though it is too early for me to make a statement on whether this treatment does what it claims or not, I can safely say that my hair is extremely soft and tangles less and obviously is frizz-free so easy to manage.
