3 Skincare Brands I Love

Originally published in October 2020. Looking back at this post, the content still holds true for me. I love these skincare brands even today and the ones listed here are some of the best products I have used. Definitely recommend all of these to you!

Some of my Favorite Products!

Well, I have loved skin care and trying out new skincare brands and their products and will probably continue to do so though not with the same fervor. In my 20’s, I wanted to try out all the new things. Now, my life is settled into a more mellow pace and combined with my need to enjoy what I apply and to compensate for my laziness, my list is limited to only serums and body butters.

I have never been a big fan of applying too many products but I did practice it religiously for sometime. Later, I cut out creams from my routine, slowly got rid of exfoliants as they started hurting my skin and now I have not applied any face mask for probably more than two years.

I just wash my face and apply a serum. I have even cut out the fancy vitamin C and hyaluronic acids and everything, for me it is just an all purpose serum which I can apply anytime of the day. That’s why I like to splurge on a good serum and I would definitely like to try out the best ones in the world.

Skincare Brands I Love #1 – Kama Ayurveda

I have not used all kama ayurveda skincare products but I still love the brand to a T.

Why Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is best face serum?

Swathy · September 21, 2023 · Leave a Comment

When I first started using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, I did not think it worked at all. One month down and voila, the skin transformed completely!!

If ever in my entire life, I had multiple bottles of one single product at the same time, it is four bottles of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Now, I am down to three – two 100mls and one 50ml – and they would last me at least a year. One of the classic beauty products in the market, it has been around since the eighties.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II Product Review

Price : Rs 7,900 for 50ml

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum comes in a dark colored bottle with a dropper which is pretty handy. It is peach colored and runny in texture but not too runny. Gets absorbed into the skin instantly. Suitable for all ages and all skin types, it is non-comedogenic (meaning does not block the pores), oil free and fragrance free.

The Ordinary Buffet Copper Peptides 1%

Swathy · January 15, 2023 · Leave a Comment

ordinary buffet copper peptides

Available at the price tag of Rs 2800, Ordinary Buffet Copper Peptides is an expensive face serum that comes in a regular dark glass bottle with a dropper. Unscrew and squeeze the dropper to reveal an appealing watery blue serum. Needless to mention I love the color.

Before I start my review, let me clarify that it has been years for me since I followed a proper skin care routine so this is one of the few products I have tried in a long time. I have been using this product in Delhi from October 2022 to January 2023, sometimes intermittently and sometimes regularly. My review is based solely on how my skin did after this long hiatus and when it is not coupled with any other products. I have a combination that varies from oily to dry but since it is peak winter now, my skin is definitely dry.

The Ordinary has been more of a hit-or-miss with me. I have used its Marine Hyaluronics which I like but not really a fan of the Squalene Oil. I have used a couple of other products like salicylic acid face wash but did not talk about them on the blog.

The serum spreads easily and does not drip down. In one go, I usually take an entire dropper full of the product but 5-8 drops should be enough for any skin type. Though the serum is watery enough, it dries off pretty quickly.

The serum alone was enough to keep the skin moisturized in the earlier months of October and November but it needs another layer now. I am currently using one of Kiehl’s moisturizers which I quite like.

Overall, if I have to recommend Ordinary Buffet Copper Peptides, I would say no. It did not do anything for my skin that I would expect from a serum, especially after all the negligence my skin has suffered. This was disappointing especially since Ordinary Buffet comes with quite a lot of rave reviews.
