What do you like on Television?

Swathy · November 24, 2012 · 15 Comments

So, I was at home last week and saw a LOTTTTTTTT of TV. Yup, not that great an idea but television is like always on at our house whether anyone watches it or not!! And, I watched literally everything.

Star Plus is always running on here, same was the case there. And, our Tata Sky doesn’t have english movie channel package 🙁 Even Harry Potter was coming in Hindi and there was a real hilarious translation 😀 Ok, lemme narrate that to you!!

It was Harry Potter – The Goblet of Fire movie when Harry and Ron end up fighting because Ron thinks Harry went and dropped his own name for the Triwizard Tournament without telling Ron about it. The fist test was fighting with dragons which Ron comes to know through his brother Charlie and wanted to convey the message to Harry but since they are not on speaking terms, he uses Hermione. Hermione gets confused and ends up conveying only the last part of the intended message and when Harry tries conveying his message back, Hermione shouts back so this is what she says in Hindi!!
Hermione : Main ullo nahi hun (I am not an Owl).

I don’t know you found that excerpt funny or not but it was damn funny while watching it 😀 Anyways, what I totally love watching is Crime Patrol. Whoa, you should have seen the Euthnasia case which was aired a few days back.

It was an acid burn case resulting from eve teasing and it was heart wrenching. They air all the real police cases – solved or unsolved. And, it really makes me thankful for the safe life I have led whether alone or with parents!!

Have you watched it? If yes, how do you like it?

Hey Swati .. I love Crime Patrol! Hubby and me end up watching crime patrol whenever it is on. Its horrible to know about the crimes people do, but it also makes us more alert. There are similar programs coming on other channels – Savdhan India on Life Ok, and a new one which is going to start soon I think on Sony TV – Shaitan.

For more lighter watching, I looove “Friends” .. have all the 10 seasons which I watch whenever the mood strikes and despite this, still get excited if I catch a rerun on any of the channels :D. Some of the older English serials I like are “I dream of Jeannie”, “Bewitched”, and “MASH” .. do you watch any of these?

And the current fav. soaps which we catch whenever we can are “Kya hua tera Wada” and Bade Ache Lagte Hain” .. I know you will laugh when you read this 😀

Sunday is TV time for me because that’s the only day I’m home all day.

So yesterday, I did a Marathon of True Blood Season 4 on HBO-on-Demand while writing a blog post, lol.

I also got to watch a bit of the movie Surrogates starring Bruce Willis on channel 5 (one of the main non-cable channels here in Singapore).

When I want to feel relaxed, I watch Harry Potter. 🙂

haha…even i am gonna do a marathon of season 5 when season 6 is gonna start 😀 i am so waiting for it!!! me too watch HP sometimes but i didn’t like the 7th and 8th movies at all!!! in fact they were disastrous and I’m not a fan but i felt sad when it ended. when ever a series ends, it feels like something is finishing forever and i don’t like that!!
