In my search for a good moisturizer, I picked this up after my encounter with the body shop Vitamin E moisturizer which did not really impress me. So, did I like the body shop seaweed moisturizer?
The Body Shop Seaweed Oil-Control Gel Creme Product Review
Price : Rs 1,195 for 50ml
I picked this up when the sales guy recommended me this when I asked him for something which is non-oily and hydrating and would go well with summers without making my skin too sticky or too shiny. So, did the moisturizer fall in that bracket? Well, I would say yes.
Similar to the texture of vitamin E cream, the body shop seaweed moisturizer feels silky on skin thanks to the silicones present. But, the difference is that it hydrates the skin from inside, makes it glowing and keeps the skin looking the same way for half a day at least.
The skin does not get dehydrated with this as quickly and you need just a little of this moisturizer. It will run you through for a month or more depending on how often you use it. It controls the shine and keeps the skin matte but it does get a bit oily when it is peak summer. Otherwise, overall, a good moisturizer for oily and combination skin when compared to vitamin E.
Interestingly, after this, I did an international haul and got a few The Ordinary’s products which included their moisturizer as well. So, that is what I am currently using and in the mean time, I had also been trying out the Raspberry face cream which I absolutely loved and would recommend if you have normal to dry skin. I have a few face oils also but somehow I am not very happy with them this time around. Seems like they are not enough for a 30+ skin which needs something more rich and nourishing.
Till then, ciao.

Nice review. TBS moisturizers somehow don’t impress me. They are just full of silicones. Nowadays, shifting more to natural brands…
