Patanjali Aloevera Gel {Product Review}

Swathy · December 4, 2011 · 39 Comments

Ok, so this is so awesome that I had to share immediately. Till today, I wasn’t much in awe of this product but today it changed my mind about itself.
Price: Rs 75 for 150ml
Ingredients
I am out of the product but it has aloe vera gel, permitted colors, Vitamin E and preservatives.
My Experience
As a facial product, I won’t say anything because the only purpose I used the gel for was for my hair. Oh yes, I did use the aloe gel also as a face mask so that ways also it was awesome!!! Anyways, I wanted to talk about something else. I applied the gel on my hair and kept it for an hour around. And, after that, I washed my hair and voila!!! My hair was so soft and shiny. The results were awesome and I would definitely urge everyone to give this a try 🙂

hey Pavani….turmeric is great for the blemishes and dark spots so you can mix a bit of turmeric in some besan and water or rose water and apply it till it dries…should show some results in a month!!!

@pavani- I had acne scar which were very dark and since i have fair complexion ,it was very noticeable.I rub raw potato slices over these scars before going to bed and after 1month of constant use i notice it reduced remarkably.

hi Dipali…I have never tried to apply this as a moisturizer but many have and they love it. I didn’t use it coz I found it a bit sticky so I can’t really advise you on that 🙁

      Hi
I have used it for the whole day, it does sticky for few seconds after that body absorbs it, gives very smooth skin.

Hi swati.@ Dipali-I have used patanjali aloevera-gel as facial moisturizer its good. But i find it a little bit drying,so what i do is i take a dime size gel then i add just 2 drops of glycerin and few drops of rose water with it,mix all and then apply over face and neck and message well.It will keep your skin supple and moisturized. But it’s moisturizing power did not last long for me(as I have dry skin) ,at max it will stay for 6-7hours.Then you need to reapply it.

hey Monali…aloevera is drying for the skin so best suited for oily skin but yes, your method is good 🙂 even I am using oil with the aloevera gel I am using to compensate for the dryness!!!

generally, I use any oil coz all of them suit me…I was using aroma magic beautiful skin oil blend or something but these days i have stopped because its getting too hot…and, applying oil makes me feel hotter. don’t ask me for the review of that oil coz I have no idea how well it works!! I am using rustic art aloevera gel and it seems like i get same results whether i apply it in conjunction with something or not.

Is it really good on face as a moisturizer? Weren’t there any small red bumps ( like chicken skin) on your face? I was using apollo pharmacy’s B+ve aloe vera gel & sufferd with this problem. :/
Advise me.. I want to buy one!

hey…I didn’t use this patanjali aloevera gel as a moisturizer because it feels too thick and sticky for me!!! Although, I can recommend rustic art one: http://perfectskincareforyou.blogspot.in/2012/03/rustic-art-aloevera-gel.html
you can check the review. no, it didn’t give me any such symptoms like you are talking.

the other one didn’t suit you might be because it has a lot of other things except for aloevera may be!!! hope this helps 🙂

hi Jayeeta. actually aloe vera gel is drying for skin but it improves the hydration from inside so use aloevera gel and follow with a moisturizer or serum or face oil.
