Patanjali Aloevera Gel {Product Review}

Swathy · December 4, 2011 · 39 Comments

Ok, so this is so awesome that I had to share immediately. Till today, I wasn’t much in awe of this product but today it changed my mind about itself.
Price: Rs 75 for 150ml
Ingredients
I am out of the product but it has aloe vera gel, permitted colors, Vitamin E and preservatives.
My Experience
As a facial product, I won’t say anything because the only purpose I used the gel for was for my hair. Oh yes, I did use the aloe gel also as a face mask so that ways also it was awesome!!! Anyways, I wanted to talk about something else. I applied the gel on my hair and kept it for an hour around. And, after that, I washed my hair and voila!!! My hair was so soft and shiny. The results were awesome and I would definitely urge everyone to give this a try 🙂

Price: Rs 198 for 250ml
Ingredients
My Experience
It is an intensive body lotion meant for very dry skin but as far as the texture of the lotion goes, it is not very thick as one would actually expect. Instead, its a smooth lotion and is very easily spreadable. And, one thing which leaps out is that you feel the lotion is very hydrating. It moisturizes the skin very nicely and leaves a very healthy glow behind making the skin look very glowing and supple and dewy. The staying power of the lotion is very very good. It lasts around 12-16 hours at a go and this is in the temperatures varying from 4-9 degrees.
My Recommendation
Yes, it is a good body lotion for all skin types.

Keep your bathroom clean {Health}

Swathy · December 2, 2011 · 1 Comment

In my post “Are your salons hygienic enough?“, I had talked about the cleanliness of the salons and their bathrooms. To know if you salons are hygienic, check out the hygiene levels of the bathroom of the salon. Similar principle applies to our homes too. Keep your bathrooms clean to prevent bad smells in the house and diseases.
One of the most ignored aspects of bathroom cleaning is the accumulation of dirt and hair in the drain openings or filters. Always clean these drain filters regularly, preferably twice a week. Otherwise, a accumulation of all the garbage there really makes the bathroom look dirty.
