mint-o-ultramintz Sugar Free Mints {Product Review}

Swathy · August 3, 2013 · 2 Comments

mint-o-ultramintz Sugar Free Mints {Product Review}

Well, I have to start with the personalized packaging. It is so amazing! I was impressed with its packaging when I found the small box lying in the luxurious satin! You can always reuse the packaging for your jewelery. And, the smaller box containing the mints is very practical and hygienic since one doesn’t have to expose all the mints while taking one and there is no wrapper business or anything else to take care of!

After popping one of these pellets, I liked it! But, the chill pill which they talk about comes only when you take 4-5 at least together. Then, I felt those close up ads would so suit this product but the only difference is when the guys opens his mouth to let the girl feel the freshness of his breath, the girl should probably be covered under layers of snow instead! Yes, 4-5 mints collectively have the power of an arctic tundra. And, if you drink water over it, its like an avalanche in your throat 😀 (ohk, I know I am exaggerating but hey isn’t the idea of ad a little too much?)

Anyways coming back to the product, it says it has premium quality peppermint imported from France. Well, I do have peppermint essential oil and the mint smells exactly the same. In case you are wondering, no. The essential oil I have is not imported as far as I am aware unless kama actually does that! But, you get the gist, right?

Jokes apart, I did like the mints. They give a very fresh feeling for a long time. And, I love flicking the cover of the box. It’s very Victorian, the only difference being the English used to carry snuff in the snuff boxes and we carry mints 😉 Aah and each box has around 60 pellets so you are good to go for around a month without bothering to refill! Easily portable as it should be and you can keep multiple with you – one in your car, one in your purse and one beside your bed stand.
And, I have to add the point that I hate chewing gums to freshen up my breath because they have a lot of sugar and after all sugary juice is over, it leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth! And, then, you have to remove the gum from the mouth and throw it which is like really gross! But, guess what, this mint is sugar-free. Anyways, I am not easily satisfied with such claims so I researched the ingredients (yeah, ok, I checked out the wiki!).

Ingredients
Sorbitol, Magnesium Stearate and Sucralose

Sorbitol – is generally used in all sugar-free gums!
Magnesium Stearate – It creates the tablet.
Sucralose – is an artificial sweetener and does not broken down in the body leading to no added calories!
So, at the end, I would just like to add that excess of these mints is really not good because for one, you should not depend on any product and for second, the ingredients do lead to a bit of complication if there is an overdose of the mints in the body.
What do you say? Have you tried these mints?

From the Archives : Reducing Belly Fat {Health}

Exercises are important part of our regimen. But, there are some parts of the body where if fat gets accumulated, it becomes difficult to cut down by regular exercise. I am  talking, here, about belly fat which affects many people and they find it difficult to remove. There are some yoga postures which, if practiced daily, would help in reducing belly fat and also in reducing the body weight.

Yogamudra

Sit with legs crossed. Reach your arms backwards and hold your left wrist with your right hand behind your back. Then, bend forward, bringing your forehead and nose in contact with the floor. Breathe out during the process. Maintain this state for 8 seconds and then rise, breathing in. Practice 8 times. This is one of the essential asanas for women. It should be practiced everyday.

Benefits: Strengthens Digestive System, relieves constipation, helps with menstrual problems, strengthens heart and removes belly fat.

Bellows Posture

Lie on your back. While breathing out, bend your right leg and bring the thigh close to your chest. Hold your right leg firmly with your both hands. Maintain this position for 8 seconds, holding the breathe. Lower your right leg while breathing in. Repeat with your left leg and then with both legs together. This comprises one round. Practice 8 rounds.

Benefits: Strengthens digestive system, relieves constipation, helps remove gas and reduces belly fat.

Hare Posture
Kneel down and hold both heels firmly with your hands. While exhaling, bring the crown of the head into contact with the floor in a posture of bowing down. The forehead should touch the knees. Maintain this posture for 8 seconds, holding the breathe. Breathe in while rising. Practice 8 times.

Benefits: Improves memory and concentration, good for meditation, helps in throat and thyroid problems and reduces belly fat.

Bird Posture
Stand up straight. Keeping your left leg standing straight and firm in the floor, stretch your right leg as far back as possible. Extend your left arm forward and right arm backward, keeping both arms parallel to the ground. Reach out your right hand hand towards your right toes as if to touch your toes. Keep your back straight. The right leg may be bent slightly upwards. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat this posture with your left leg stretched backwards. This completes one round. Practice 4 rounds.

Benefits: Develops perfect balance, strengthens nerves in arms and legs and helps reduce body weight.

Vaseline Heathy White Lightening Visible Fairness Lotion {Product Review}

Vaseline Heathy White Lightening Visible Fairness Lotion Product Review

Well, the first thing I thought on looking at this product was is this another variation of Lactocalamine! Its that similar but of course this one is supposed to be used only when you are going out in sun because it has sunscreen filters besides having skin illuminating minerals and what not!

Pros
does control oiliness if applied in lesser amount

It sure has tall claims but whether it stands up to them or not is a different matter altogether. I tried using it over the sunscreen on my arms while going out. Now, it does help curb the oiliness to an extent but it also creates white patches if you tend to apply the product in even a bit of excess.

Cons
does not do what it claims!
creates white cast if applied in excess

The product is a bit tinted so it has to be used judicially. But, I have not used it on my face! Also, I do not really think I saw any extra fairness or even lightening of my tanned hands in this past month. So, overall, I would not really recommend the product!
Have you used the product? Did you like it?
