Do you suffer from perpetual hunger or nausea? {Health}

Swathy · September 5, 2014 · 3 Comments

Sometimes, our healths go haywire and we have no idea!! And, then, we have certain symptoms going on in the body which we hardly understand. When I was suffering from some of such symptoms, I asked my mom for help and understood a little bit about understanding my body needs. So, let me share my experiences.

Perpetual Hunger
This is one of the major problems I found when there was a change in my diet. I am used to eating more of grains and veggies and less of carbs but in between I used to have more of carbs and less of everything else so I was always left with a feeling of hunger even though I would have a stomach full of food.
If you feel hungry even after having a proper meal, remember to change a little of your diet and inclue more of proteins than usual. Proteins make you feel full and helps in controlling cravings. Also, perpetual hunger might be a symptom of diabetes so make sure you get your tests done.

Feeling of nausea
This one is a symptom for high blood pressure, as told by my mom. She also suffers from the same issue. And, you might also be really hungry because of which you might be feeling nausea-tic. Also, nausea is a symptom for migraines and, of course, pregnancy.
Going to bathroom continuously
This is one thing which again I found is quite annoying when there is a diet change. Remember that this might also be due to excess of fluids and also, it might be a symptom of, again, diabetes.
Joint Pains or Body Pains
This can be due to extreme weakness or lack of Vitamin D or even due to improper nutrition. So, you might really want to look into what is bothering your body.
So, these are few of the symptoms I can remember on the tip of my fingers. Do take care of your health and learn to listen to your body. And, do not forget to go to a doc!
Have you ever faced such symptoms?

5 Steps to Oily Skin Care {Five Series}

Swathy · September 4, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I have never really suffered with the pros and cons of the oily skin but mostly in summers I have terrible T-zone problem and blackheads and even in humid weather, there is a terrible issue of constant sweating so I thought I might compile some of the steps to take care of oily skin.

Salt Water Tip for Oily Skins
Wash your face with warm salt water. It helps to control the oil and does not aggravate acne either.
Face Wash
I always check out for a face wash which is SLS free and for a thorough cleansing, occasional use of face wash with salicylic acid like Garnier pore unclogging. I seriously love that product but only when I have oily skin, mind you!!! So, yes, a good face wash is very very important.

Toner
Absolute must when you are suffering from a lot oil! For a recommendation and for those who can afford, I would suggest Clinique Clarifying Lotion which is a alcohol based toner but gave amazing results on my skin. And, for all others and those who love doing DIY’s, check this recipe out and you might just find it interesting.
Moisturizer
Well, this is one of the tricky parts of oily skin. For my combination skin, aloevera gel works well. But, for my friend, I had recommended this product which I found on Paris’s blog and the product looks interesting.
Tea Tree Oil
Did you know that there is only lavender oil and tea tree oil which can be applied neat on skin? They do not have to be diluted with any carrier oil so if you suffer from acne or even if its just oily skin, this might be just the best moisturizer. Ok, also, this will protect you from the mosquitoes and bugs 😀
So, these are few steps I use to take care of my combination skin in summers or humid weather. Check them out and see if they might be of some help to you as well.
Do you have any more ideas for taking care of oily or acne prone skin?

How often do you skip on your skin and hair care routines? {Your Opinion}

Swathy · September 3, 2014 · 4 Comments

Hey Everyone!! I know I have been doing a lot of on and off and I am pretty sure many of you must have really given up on me. Now that I have got the two posts which have been long pending from my way, I can talk a bit of here and there!!

So, last three months have been a whirlwind of changes and the entire August went in pujas and saree tying exercises. I did more of saree tying than the puja 😀 Gosh, it is so difficult to be a newly wed.

Anyways, tomorrow will be an entire year since I have stopped answering to comments. So, that is one of the first things on my to-do list and I am really sorry for ignoring you all for this long. Honestly, coming back to blogging after such a long break is very very difficult. So, let me just say give me some time to settle down.

And, let me talk about how I love to skip my daily routine of skin and hair care. Unless I have some product to review, I have to literally force myself to apply even a face moisturizer.

Do you love to skip on your skin and hair routines like me or are you really diligent about your personal grooming?
