Holy moly! We have reached the first quarter end of the new year and with that I am so happy to say that we have successfully concluded the hair care series on the blog.
I hope it was an equally helpful series and you enjoyed it like I did while conducting it. Of course, I would have loved more interaction from all the participants but I do understand your own time constraints and hectic lifestyle. Many times even I face the same issue – I go through and article but I am either too tired to comment and share my opinions or I just want to get it over with and go and sleep π
Anyways, I know I missed out the last four days right from the weekend. Basically, my mom has come unplanned and you know how it is with girls and their moms, especially after wedding! It has been countless time of gossips and discussing this and that stuff and rearranging my household. Well, she brings some order to my extremely chaotic household!
But, I do hope that you did not miss out on your weekend hair care routine which is something you CANNOT shortchange on ANY day!
And, as a wrap up, I had planned to leave you all with some really quirky hair care posts I had done in the past. Some of them are actually very useful, even though they look really weird.
Hair Care Basics
Whether you have long hair or a pro at your hair care, re-doing the basics never really hurt anyone. So, we have everything right from do’s and donot’s for the hair to decoding your hair textures to implements on how to apply hair oil to your scalp.
Washing Up!
What is a more crucial routine than cleansing your skin or hair and we often make mistakes in this one routine than any other! Rinse and repeat is a formula of old. We have to devise our own formulas with respect to our hair depending on its needs. So, tell me do you use a natural-shampoo-cum-conditioner to wash your hair? Or, may be you have added a natural twist to your shampoo?
Did you know that shampooing everyday is really not that harmful as much as people say, provided you are using the best products and gentlest of the your hands on it π Or, more interesting is the question that do you wash your hair upside down? Or, better yet, have you ever though if it is your hair oil which is causing your hair build up?
Henna-ing
Well, do you color in your hair but you prefer to go au naturel? Then, you should not only know how to apply henna but what are its alternatives (henna gloss) and its application process.
Egg Shampoo
You might have heard way too many things including egg oil but have you ever heard about something so quirky as an egg shampoo. I came across this interesting idea back during the semester break in my graduation while doing my internship. And, then, tried it out. And, voila, it was amazing enough and definitely less messy. So, do check what exactly is this egg shampoo.

hey swati !
I found the inversion method really helpful. it seems to have increased the scalp strength especially when paired up with the regular head massages. Overall i loved being a part of this hair challenge and i hope to see more of this in future!

Hey Swati,
Good post. You got me thinking about letting mine grow long. But I’ve had bad dandruff for many years and never would have considered it until I tried apple cider vinegar. That and not washing it as often did help considerably but if you have any other suggestions… Thanks.

Hair loss has been my number 1 problem ever since I gave birth. I’ve tried almost all kinds of methods, some are recommended by my friends while others I found on the internet, but to no avail. Your egg shampoo looks interesting and I would like to try it out. But, aside from making your hair beautiful, does it also help in reducing hairloss? Thanks!
Swati says
i have no idea if it helps with hair loss though because I do not think I had such an issue while using this remedy!!

I had nice long and thick wavy hair and 4 years ago i decided to do a perm (relaxer). I really regret this decision!!!! Is there any good remedy to repair my hair again and promote its natural texture?

Hey Swati!
I have tried natural remedies to try to get my hair to grow back and stop falling. Nothing has seemed to work of me and I have gotten to the point where I may need to start wearing a wig within the end of this year if my hair keeps falling. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations? I do not want to keep taking medications and treatments that my doctor has been giving me. Natural products are safer. Thank you!
Swati says
hi Kiran, please follow this series from the start and see if it helps.
