My Haul and Other Things

Swathy · April 26, 2012 · 38 Comments

So, I am back to Hyderabad and wallowing in sadness 😀 And, as you all would be probably aware that my camera had not been functioning properly so I got my other camera this time from home. And, now that I can again take many snaps, I wanted to share some of the hauls in the past months and some other things. Do check out till the end 🙂
Kara Wipes and Neutrogena new sunscreen from New U and got a nail buffer free 🙂
Neev soaps from naturalmantra, Parachute body lotion dry skin and body shop haul 🙂
A word about the above products – Neutrogena new sunscreen is pretty light and oil free but extremely expensive (400 for 30 ml), Kara wipes good as always, Parachute body lotion is good but not for summers obviously ;), ginger body butter is not at all worth the cost (I am regretting it) and I love, love and love the Polynesian Monoi oil.
Essential Oils – rosemary, lavender, neroli, frankincense, bergamot, patchouli, cedarwood, ginger, cinnamon bark
and, cocoa butter from moksha lifestyle
Loving the essential oils but undecided on the cocoa butter. And, now, a very very very special thanks to Taps for this sweet gift 🙂 Well, remember the huge Glossy Box debacle??? Yes, Taps of Beauty Through my Eyes (she has her first giveaway on so don’t forget to participate) sent me this wonderful gift as a substitute for the giveaway win even though I told her not to many times. Thank you sooooooooo much, Taps 🙂

I have been hearing such good things about the chocolate mask that I was very much tempted to get this but I restrained myself as I have so many products to finish. Now, I’m gonna use it ASAP, yippeeee 🙂 And, that’s another Neev soap to the collection. And, the third is the fresh line Blue Chamomile mask which was also one of the products I wanted to try. So, this weekend is gonna be a pamper session for me 😀

huge haul! so tempting! i lovvveee neutrogena sunscreen, the only sunscreen that lives up to its claim of being oil-free and matte finish..but have they changed the packaging?
i want to try the TBS ginger shower gel..and what abt that oil? is it a body oil?
and omg! sooo many EO! that is the most tempting part of this haul.. 😛 and im curious to know how u r gonna use the cocoa butter..review it plz..
and finally congos for the prizes.. 😀

yes, its a huge haul in the course of 3 months 🙂 but, definitely I spent a lot more than I actually do 😀 the essential oils are just too tempting na!!! me too think so and I am in love with ylang ylang…its over so gotta get again.
no, this is a the new sunscreen from neutrogena…they have launched a new moisture one which is lighter than the current ultra sheer. the shower gel sounds nice but the butter was entirely useless 🙁 that’s the polynesian monoi oil from TBS…a product of SPA wisdom range and absolutely amazing with its light jasmine scent. check it out next time when you are in the shop.
I am frankly not happy with the cocoa butter…for one it smells a lot *yuckk* and, its very brittle and turns grainy when over-melted and I don’t have a whipper so can’t whip out the oil to make something but I’ll surely review it before this winter 😀 I thought of using it on my hair but now its not possible so will try to make lip balm and body moisturiser from it…lets see 🙂

yeah…I checked out…do tell the last date na coz I need some loose powder so was wondering if I would get any discount on it!!!
EO’s are good…you should check them out…I will do a detailed post next week on all the EO’s I have and how I use them but each of them costed me different…some are inexpensive and some are expensive like neroli is around 200 something but ginger or cinnamon was around 60 something. I shall put up the post ASAP…got many requests 🙂
let’s see how cocoa butter turns out 😀 I did try some things but not satisfied!!

I haven’t used sweet orange yet. will get it some other time. lavender is just fine. I preferred ylang ylang more but you can always get lavender as it is good for both hair and skin and can be used for relaxation also 🙂

hey Shruthi…yes, you can simply send them a mail at info@mokshalifestyle.com saying you want to order stuff from them and give a list of things you want. you should get a mail from them within a day or two. in case you live in Delhi, you can directly go and pick up from their shop itself. the payment is through online transfer.

I have always been a big fan of Parachute products. Since in this post, you have written about the winter variant, there is good news for you. They have launched a new summer variant – Parachute advansed body lotion – summer fresh. I am super excited to buy it. It has mint in it which is always associated with the summer months and coconut milk to keep the skin supple. Wow!!

    Hi Swati,

    Greetings of the day..

Can I use Moksha mustard carrier oil for hair? Does it improve hair growth?
I heard that mustard oil generates lots of heat after applying it to the scalp is that true?

    Thank you..
