My hair in April - Perfect Skin Care for you
What I did in April?
  • Regarding the use of Rosemary EO for three months since January, I have not really got any evidence but I do believe that it has really helped my hair texture and probably helped in hair growth too.
  • I did add ginger and cinnamon EO to my hair oil this month. But, had to discontinue using it since I started on with a treatment.
  • I gave myself a hair cut to get rid of the split ends. I did cut off a good amount of length and my hair is again back to the shoulder level 🙁 but, then, I had to get rid of splits too.
  • Went on a hair treatment which I mentioned couple of days back.
Products Used
  • Shampoo – Pantene Total Damage Care Shampoo + Kamini’s Keshika Herbal Shampoo
  • Treatment – Kamini’s Keshika Herbal Hair Tonic
  • Conditioner – Liz Earle Botanical Shine Treatment + L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Hair Masque + Kamini’s Keshika Milk Tonic
  • Hair Oil – Biotique Flame of the Forest + Kamini’s Keshika Herbal Hair Oil
  • Hair Mask – Egg + Kamini’s Keshika Multi-Herb Mix
Second Week Results of the Hair Treatment
  • Hair definitely seems to be more shiny.
  • In fact, the hair coloring job which I wasn’t pretty satisfied with, is showing well now. Though, I am definitely not loving the color 🙁 I really want to use Lush Caca Maroon!!! I have a gut feeling I will soon do that 😀

Your hair is looking healthy and glossy too… I’m not sure if you already take these but supplements like biotin and codliver capsules (if you are non-vegie) help alot. I have hairfall but inspite of it the hairdresser always ‘complains’ about how dense my hair is :D.

hey Renuca….no, I don’t take any supplements but my doc did give me some vitamins and other tablets for my eyes. basically, my body is deficient in B complex a little so I need to replenish them. yes, I know biotin and codliver helps but actually, fish oil supplements are under a lot of controversy. I did use the seacod or something to mix it with my hair oil but I didn’t really like them much so didn’t bother again.
are, you are so lucky…even I want to have dense hair…my hair is too less in volume 🙁
and, really my hair is looking glossy??? 😀 thanks so much.

hey Pranali…the way the girls at the parlour told me to use them, it would have definitely finished in a month or probably less. but, I am using it according to my needs. she had asked me to apply half a cup of oil to my hair!!! so, I am definitely using less of it. hopefully, I should be able to stretch the products above to 2 months 🙂

don’t you think that half a cup of oil is a bit too much? i think that only the first layer of oil that is applied to the scalp or hair strands, help! our hair is definitely not a half cup of oil sucking machine! Also do you think that applying ginger juice to the hair root would be somewhat equivalent to the ginger tonic (minus the herbs in it)? ….pranali

haha Pranali…so true!!! whatever we do, our scalp can’t suck up that much!!! and, you hit the nail when you said ginger juice….frankly, my mom had divided the ginger tonic between both of us and she is almost finished with it (she took very less quantity) and now, she has only 3 applications of it left and I asked if she was gonna buy it or dupe it??? and, she said that I was thinking of squeezing out the ginger juice itself!!! or, probably she might get vinegar and pour a packet of saunth (ginger powder) in it and leave it to get infused for some days!!! and, the ginger tonic is ready 😀 I was even thinking that applying onion juice this same way would probably help a lot and that also saves the drying of scalp from vinegar if one doesn’t have dandruff. what say?

i did use onion juice on scalp every other day for straight two months but then i got bored doing it! so i thought why not try ginger juice this time! and i think that vinegar was used in that tonic as a preservative for the juice!

hey…no, this tonic doesn’t have ginger juice…its a infusion of dried ginger powder in vinegar…vinegar is useful for dandruff and oily heads so I think she used vinegar and it does give shine too. btw, any help with onion or ginger juice???

onion juice just helped me get the bounce in my hair! i had started using it when i had read on a hair loss support forum about onion juice being used in eastern europen countries for regrowth of the hair that are lost due to non medical reasons! i think to see any results you have to use it regularly for many months! maybe a year or so!

also that i have been using diluted ACV as a last rinse during my hair wash since jan this year! the only thing it did ws to make my hair shiny and dry out the hair strands! my scalp starts getting greasy after few hrs of hair wash! acv never helped with controlling the sebum!

hmmmm….do you have any bald spots??? actually onion is basically for such areas and it shows a lot of difference there in pretty less time. it did for me too. but, I think otherwise, it does need to be used for ages to see difference and make the hair grow.
ACV generally helps with shine only and it does help with dandruff. but, don’t know much about controlling sebum coz its diluted na so might not be really effective. if you use pure vinegar on the scalp, that might show some difference, may be. I have dry scalp so never checked out oily scalp fixes 🙂

yes, quality is a huge deal but I think they are good or as good as others in the market….coz I did do some purity tests but then, its not exactly conclusive but I think results are good. but, yes, it does take time to analyse properly 🙂
what’s camellia oil??? where do you get it?
