Just Gossip Vol. 42 – Vacationing and Hauling and Everything Else!

Huh…just in case if you have been wondering where did I disappear? Well, it turns out that my life has to be on the go instead of the pre-planned I always prefer. We had to go somewhere but getting the visa took time and then tickets had just sky rocketed. And, since we had availed the leaves, we decided to go some other place for which we had to wait like 7 days to get the visa and we did not have the passports till the day we were flying. And, then, the tickets were booked on the same day and then we flew adhoc!

How was Malaysia?

I was, in fact, thinking of starting a travel diary series to document all my travels. For the interested, we do not prefer packages. We prefer to roam around the city at our own sweet pace even if we do not cover the entire place. That is a excuse to visit the place again 🙂

Anyways, Malaysia was awesome except for the extreme weather it faces. It would be really hot sunny day and the next hour it would be raining cats and dogs. I shall do a complete write-up of the trip in another post coz we had such a gala time. Honestly, we did not really go around much but we were soooooo tired from the trip!

And, the best part? My Huge Haul!

Well, yes, it was huge for me by all standards – the brands, the currency, the amount, the quantity, everything! And, I am now super-excited to use them all that I am literally using one product a day!!

Btw, the samples sachets from L’Occitane you see, I have used them up.

Shampoo and Conditioner

The products were a one time use. Both of them smell very sweet and nice. The shampoo lathers pretty well and it cleansed my hair well. But, what I saw was my hair was extremely dry! Then, I checked out its reviews and many have the same complaint!!

Almond Milk

The product is thick in consistency but creamy enough to spread easily on the skin and yes, your skin will drink it up!! If it is really dry like mine is, you would need a lots of cream. I used the sachet in two days and yes that includes whole body application on the first and half on the second. I think it a worth trying product!

First Impressions!

I am yet not over the high of my haul. I still relive it every single time I use any of those products! In fact, I am so confused as to what to use that I am using one product a day. So, lets check out what I loved and what I have still to try!

Kama Ayurveda Amber Lily and Ginger Body Oil

I absolutely love this oil. Its fragrance is mildly spiced and absolutely lovely. I can buy it again just for its fragrance!!

Vichy Purete Thermale Face Wash

I love the mechanism of liquid turning into foam on pumping it out but I am not exactly sure if I love the product or not! It has SLS but it does not feel too harsh on the skin and does not remove oil completely when I remove my sunscreen with oil. It does not leave the skin dry but I am still not convinced if its THE face wash.

Estee Lauder ANR and Eye Serum

I have used it only twice till now but loved them both. They are thick but disappear into skin and do not remain greasy at all after 5 minutes and they leave the skin lovely and amazing in the morning!! Damn expensive, though!!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Loving it so far! Smooth textured and absorbs into skin and leaves the skin bouncy and hydrated and the water, as the name says, plumps up the skin.

Shiseido Sunscreen spf 30

After not using any sunscreen for more than TWO years, it was difficult to get back to applying sunscreen! Not liking this so far as it leaves white tint but let me try it out a bit more. Used it on my face for some days but now going to use only on arms as I got my Marie Veronique sunscreen which I have always liked!!

H2O Face Oasis

Again not sure of the moisturizer coz it leaves my skin sweaty after sometime but I shall take my own time to review it 🙂

Estee Lauder Nutritious Overnight Mask

Got this as a sample. Is again an overnight sleeping mask. Not sure if I am liking or hating it. But, it does leave my skin soft and nice in the morning!!

Estee Lauder Lip Balm

Absolutely amazing! It has to be the best lip balm I have EVER used. Btw, this was also a complimentary product. It is the one in black lipstick container.

So, these are the only products I have used so far and now I think it is time to use each of them diligently and review them. So, lets hope for that! Hope you liked the post and do let me know if you have used any of the products above.
