After my hair makeover, it was finally time for me to concentrate on my skin. I was checking some of my before-wedding pics and my skin was Soooooo good and now it is just not that great!!! So, the first thing I did was to order off the MVO sunscreen which I have always loved. Btw, the worse thing is they have stopped shipping to India due to the custom problems which makes it difficult to or the product anytime I want.

And, the second thing on my list was a good moisturiser. As I have reiterated countless times, I have never found the perfect moisturiser and I did not want to use any oil so I decided to try out biotique as I love the brand and it suits me. So, I went and bought this product. And, before I begin, I am loving it. I have read a few negative reviews of the product as well but I would totally recommend it if you have my type of skin. So, read on!

Price : Rs 199 for 50 gms
Availability : at all the stores and websites so this is not an issue at all!
Packaging : The product comes in the classic Biotique packaging which btw has changed from oval to round jars. It is easy to carry but a little cumbersome and does not leak at all.
Texture : The product is creamy and gets absorbed immediately in my skin.
Ingredients : As always, I am a little skeptical of biotique ingredients because of their mention of base Q.S. I wish they would be more forthcoming about it. As far as in understand, they buy the base for all the products and add their signature ingredients to the base and then package it. Btw, did you know they have come up with an advanced range of products for anti-ageing skin care?

L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Cream for 30+ Update {Product Review}

Hah! It has been over two months since I have been using the product. And, it is time to give an update. Though, I have covered most of the things in the extended review I did on the product almost a month back, there are just a few things I would like to cover.

Usage

In the last post, if you recall or have read it again, I have mentioned that I could not really figure out how to use the product. So, finally, I figured it out after lots of trials and errors.

Spot apply mustard-seed size product all over your face – forehead, nose, cheeks, chin. And, spread it evenly on the face. That’s it! Most likely you would NOT need more of the product. So, the jar is going to last very very long for you!!

Perfect for Summer

Now that summers have already started raging in Hyderabad, I can feel that this product is perfect to control the sweat and oil. But, then, remember do not go overboard with the product otherwise it will leave white streaks on your skin. And, it keeps the skin looking bright for at least two hours and you can reapply it after that 🙂

Works for a foundation

Unless you want heavy coverage, this product works perfectly as your makeup base. It has a slight tint which makes your face glow, makes the lip color or lip tints pop up and gives a perfect natural makeup look with a soft dewy face. And, it is easy to reapply 🙂

Does not work for eye

The product does mention that eye contour should be avoided and do heed it. Otherwise, the product cakes up in the eye area.

It is a Day Cream!

For everyone who is confused about this part, the product is ONLY a day cream and meant to be used in the morning time and HAS to be removed with a makeup remover, since it has a tint, at the end of day. And, follow with an anti-aging serum or facial oil.

#HappyHairChallenge with Garnier Update II {Hair Care}

Huh…I should have posted this at the end of February but with shifting to wordpress and Mr. P’s sprained leg and a family function, I just could not find time for this post.

So, let me start by saying – this is definitely one of the product ranges which can be given a try. I have successfully completed one month of #HappyHairChallenge without finishing either the shampoo and conditioner and, considering they are over the counter products, they are not really expensive.

One peeve which I had with this range was that they could have come up with an intensive hair treatment or hair mask as well since it is meant for dry and damaged hair. It would have been SO helpful. So, lets see what I have to say about the product overall.

Specification First

Price: Rs 135

Availability: All super markets + Online websites

Packaging: Yellow color adds a pop to your bathroom. Travel-friendly.

Smell: It smells decent. Nothing strong or over-powering.

Texture: Both shampoo and conditioner are creamy in texture and spread easily on hair.

Contains SLS

Usage and Results

One dollop of shampoo is enough for two washes of my hair. It lathers well even in very small quantities and removes oil from even oil-dripping hair.

The conditioner is creamy and spreads easily on the hair length. And, also washes off easily.

The combo leaves the hair feeling healthy and nourished. But, the results wears off after a day or two. And, the hair does get a lot softer and tangle-free. It might be able to control moderate amount of frizz but a leave-in treatment is extremely necessary to protect the ends of the hair.

Overall Verdict

One of the decent shampoos which can be given a try. As I said, if they had come up with a intensive hair mask treatment, it would have been an added bonus to use!
