Neutrogena Deep Clean Shampoo {Product Review}

Swathy · May 11, 2011 · 2 Comments

I didn’t buy this but got the Neutrogena goodies at Hilton, Delhi. I don’t think Neutrogena has launched its hair care products in India. Heard that the Triple Moisture range is just awesome. I hope it launches the hair care range in India soon.
Ingredients
Oh, it has got a really big ingredient list and is full of chemicals as all Neutrogena products. Since you have seen the size of the bottle and the print is not very clear since it is transparent, so I can not reproduce the entire list here. But, it does contain SLS, Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate (is same as SLS) and Propyl Paraben in case you are interested in these specific ingredients.
My Experience
I loved this shampoo. Generally, I wouldn’t know how to review a shampoo coz for me, generally, all are one. But, I have used this one following up with and without any conditioner. For the first time, I used no conditioner coz I wanted to see how it works and it cleansed my hair really clean without making it dry (my hair is quite dry and gets dry very easily). Very less of the product required and it does lather well. No frizzes and no flyaways. My scalp was also not feeling dry and stretchy as it does sometimes with some of the shampoos. And, it does make my hair feel heavy and voluminous which is a very big thing for a shampoo. It leaves hair soft, shiny and bouncy even without the help of a conditioner which is a lot from a shampoo. I think it has been now replaced with Clean Replenishing range.
My Recommendation
Should be tried once to see if it suits your hair!!! So, try it out when it gets launched here 🙂

Dabur Gulabari Moisturizing Cold Cream with Rose Extracts {Product Review}

Swathy · May 10, 2011 · 2 Comments

An impulse buy!!!
Price: 26 INR (extremely affordable!!)
Ingredients
Not a complete list of ingredients.
My Experience
On opening the bottle, first reaction is it is so cute colored – a light pink and it looks like a very light moisturizer. But, don’t be fooled. It is heavy and oily. Not suitable for combination or oily skin at all. Will suit dry skin people well so gals, go for it. It smells heavily of artificial roses which I hate a lot. But, coming to the good part, it is a great cream for feet and hands. If you are the kind who has to wash hands after touching literally anything (like me), you need something to moisturize your hands regularly and this is one cream which would do just that. It acts as a great night cream for hands and feet too (imagine how oily it is as it is great for feet!!!). One great thing is that it comes in a sturdy tub which can be used after the cream finishes and it is very much affordable. One great thing is that it moisturizes the cuticles and nails too. I finished the cream so unfortunately, I don’t have the pics.
My Recommendation
If you are someone who likes hand creams, you should give this a try. Very much inexpensive as opposed to the hand creams available in the market. And, this is not one of the moisturizers which makes you feel parched after getting washed off.

Pull back your shoulders {Health}

Swathy · May 9, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Ok, so this is the most difficult in the series of right postures. Even I am not sure of how to explain and even I have not yet practiced it accurately that I can tell you how to do it. It is said that you should pull your shoulders back but it is no where specified how and how exactly to do without looking too stiff. One thing I can mention is that pull back your shoulders only a little so that they are parallel to the hips when you are sitting or standing. Generally, they are not coz we tend to slump forward a little. This would cause your chest to come a little forward and make your breasts look firmer.
But, do not make the position so stiff that the muscles of your back start to ache. So, try various positions and select the one which is most comfortable and makes you look a little upright than what you currently are. That would mean you are pulling your shoulders back. Ok, one more thing which I would add before concluding this series is that pull your whole body into an attention position when you are standing but without looking too stiff so that it looks as if you have all your body parts in control without being too uncomfortable. Generally, it is also said to suck your stomach inside but I wouldn’t recommend that as it makes it difficult to breathe deeply. Another sign that you are holding the right body posture is that it allows you to breathe deeply without too much of an effort.
