Oil and Hair {Hair Care}

Swathy · November 5, 2011 · 4 Comments

I’ll now mention one thing which I have seen is a habit of many people especially of the old school. Many people commented on my hair saying that since I had not been applying oil after washing my hair, it has lost its volume. Well, the insinuation here is that many people prefer to apply oil after washing their hair and leaving it like that till the next wash. I, personally, find this method is wrong. Not because your hair looks sticky or something but I have tried this and know that it doesn’t really do anything for the hair. Instead, if you keep your hair oiled and go out, your hair will becomes dirty faster and scalp will attract a lot bacteria. Oil is one of the major causes of dandruff too. Extra oily and extra dry scalp both breed dandruff so keeping the scalp healthy and clean is one of the important points of hair care.

Coffee and Belly Fat {Weight Loss}

Swathy · November 4, 2011 · 2 Comments

A simple way to reduce belly fat is to cut down on coffee. Coffee causes the belly to distend and hence, it makes your tummy appear bulgy.
Another few ways to reduce belly fat is to cut down on alcohol and salt. Salt retains water so causes bloating in the stomach which makes you look bulkier in the middle. And, if you want to cut down on the fat, increase the consumption of herbal teas. They help to control the weight.

Is your skin itchy? {Skin Care}

Swathy · November 3, 2011 · 8 Comments

Winters are almost on the door step and my skin has already started to feel the cold and chill in the air. And, my skin has also turned itchy lately. So, why is it so? Because of the lack of moisturization. Yes, if you are facing the same problem, you might want to explore more options in the moisturizer and body butter departments.For me, I would say that Nivea worked really well. Yes, the original blue tin Nivea.
If budget is not a consideration, The Body Shop body butters are pretty much famous but if you do like to keep a tab, then, Nivea or any thick lotion would do the trick. And, if you still want more, you can go for the combination of body oils followed by body lotions. The key to control itchy skin is not let it get dry and this can also be helped from the inside by feeding on nuts. This is especially useful for people living in hills.
