This is the second facial kit I got from Inveda, the first being Passion Fruit. Looks like exotic fruits are the way to go. Anyways, so let me start by saying that though the passion kit did not really manage to impress me, I do love this dragon fruit facial kit.
Inveda Argan Oil & Dragon Fruit Facial Kit Product Review
Price : Rs 245
Availability : Online Website
Packaging
I have the same thing to say again. It would have been better packaged in small tubes instead of sachets just like I said for the passion fruit facial kit.
What I think about the Dragon Fruit Facial Kit?
Again, I got two uses out of this facial kit, namely the cleanser, scrub and mask. I decanted the serum into a handy container and used it with facials only. And, I am still left with the massage cream which I can enjoy for probably one more time.
Cleanser
Thing to Note – It says Cleanser and not Cleansing Cream like the other facial kit.
This dragon fruit facial kit cleanser is transparent and it lathers when it comes in contact with water. So, this is more like a face wash but not exactly a face wash since it does not remove all the residue of the sunscreen and makeup.
What I did was to use my regular cleanser and get rid of all the dirt followed by this cleanser for the final cleansing. Then, I was ready for the scrub.
Scrub
The scrub is extremely gentle with more cream than granules so you do not end up hurting your skin. It is not abrasive on skin and nourishes it while exfoliating. Leaves skin glowing and clean.
On a side note, I think it is time brands move on from the physical scrubs to more potent ones.
Massage Cream
This is again my favorite product from the dragon fruit facial kit. The massage cream is soft and spreads easily on skin. I like to dilute it with thermal water or rose water to give it a little slip. But, massaging with this feels absolutely luxurious.
I used a decent amount of cream and massaged my face, neck and decolletage with it. Even if you do not dilute it, the creaminess of the product helps make massaging easy. The massage cream sinks into the skin and stays there but does not leave any greasiness behind.
Leaves skin beautifully smooth. If wiped off with hot water, the excess product is removed easily but you may find some greasiness but not in a bad way. Also, the mask will take care of removing the oil so no worries.
Face Pack
Last time when I used the passion fruit facial kit, I had used the complete mask at one go which did not really do anything for my skin.
So, the fist time I used this mask, I diluted it with glycerin and smoothed it on my face. And, second time, I used rose water.
The dragon fruit facial kit pack is nourishing and hydrating. The mask does not dry out but sinks into the skin becoming transparent. You can keep it on for probably 10 minutes.
Removing is easy. Just wipe off with a warm wash cloth and voila! Your facial is done.
Protective Serum
Simplest way to finish off the entire routine. The serum is light and gets absorbed pretty quickly. Once it was not enough for my skin but the second time it did just fine without any other moisturizer so I think it depends whether you need extra moisturizing with this or not. I would say a great night mask would be even better.
Final Verdict
I loved this dragon fruit facial kit far more than the other one. May be my skin needs more nourishment than anything else given that I am 31 now. The dragon fruit facial kit is more nourishing and, like it says, anti-aging.
The first time I used this kit, my skin was glowing the next day. Same results the second time. But, I have to say that the results do not probably last quite long. So, it is best to use these at-home facial kits just a night before the event.
What do you think about this dragon fruit facial kit? Do you like using facial kits at home? Which one is your favorite?
