This new year I decided that I would not let even a single day pass off without doing anything significant. And, here we are already six days in the new year. You would have already noticed that I am posting everyday for the last two weeks. And, I am trying my level best to keep it up. The aim is to post every weekday for this year.
And, as I mentioned in my skin care diary yesterday, I do have loads of products which I am eager to review. I picked up Vichy for the first time while looking for the face wash sometime in July last year. And, I am glad I picked up the brand otherwise I would have missed out on a few really good products. I do have a list to try out from this brand already 🙂
So, let us check out what I think about this product.
Vichy Purete Thermale Face Wash Product Review
This is quite an interesting product to begin with. The face wash is all liquid inside the transparent bottle which is fitted with a pump. And, when you press the pump to dispense it, what you get is foam. One pump gives enough foam to cover the face. I use two pumps for my face, neck and decolletage. I did love this concept.
Just in case you are wondering, this product does have SLS. The smaller packaging which was the one I got is easy to carry around but not very travel-friendly. If you wish to carry it, it is best to reconsider some other face wash.
Btw, I was sold this face wash by this SA who was not very conversant with Vichy products (which I came to know later). This product is specifically for combination and oily skin. If you have dry skin, you must get another creamy cleanser which the brand has.
Since this product did not suit my skin type, I was not really happy. I always felt the product was too harsh for my skin. But, interestingly I do like the texture of the face wash. If used in summers, it would be perfect for my skin which tends to get a bit oily.
But, I have to make a point here. If you use oil to remove your sunscreen or makeup, this face wash is not enough to cleanse off the oil completely. You either need to wash it twice or use another cleanser in combination with this one. Just because of this reason, I had to use it as a morning cleanser whenever I would apply sunscreen.
I did think this product was very expensive at 600 rupees for 50ml. But, this product lasts for almost a month and a half even if I use it twice a day, two pumps at a time. That makes the product not very inexpensive but may be affordable, if you fall in love with it.
Overall, I would recommend you to give it a try and decide for yourself if you like it.
