Have you ever experienced a spell of time when you feel unreal, everything around you feels wobbly? Then, you are experiencing dizziness. The most usual reason is vertigo or if you are suffering from a migraine, you will be prone to feel dizzy. But, there are a few specific medical conditions which might lead you to feel imbalanced and wobbly. So, let us find out why you might be getting dizzy?
Our bodies are really good at telling us what is not right. The only problem is to know your body well enough to understand the symptoms and take appropriate action.
3 Reasons Why You Might be Getting Dizzy
Immediate dip in Blood Pressure
In fact high and low blood pressure contribute equally to feeling dizzy at times but it is more often a sign of hypotension ( low blood pressure ) than hypertension ( high blood pressure ). Less blood flow to the brain causes the lightheadedness. This may be more often when you make sudden movements like getting up too fast.
Low Sugar Levels
Another reason might be that you have not had your food for a very long time or your body is prone to low blood sugar levels. In fact you might feel irritable, shake all over or feel completely unreal. In either of the cases, eating a bar of chocolate, drinking juice or having a bite of a sweet, all of them help. The only way to combat this issue is eating properly and not letting your body stay without nourishment for too long.
Extreme Dehydration
Another reason why you might be getting dizzy is because you do not drink enough water. Water is probably the answer to all your problems, be it being over weight or not being able to digest properly or poor metabolism or feeling excess body pains and fatigue. Whenever you feel dizzy, have a glass of water immediately and see how your body responds.
Our bodies are really good at telling us what is not right. The only problem is to know your body well enough to understand the symptoms and take appropriate action. For example, in my case, I had started noticing that whenever I get too tired, my body starts shaking all over and I would start feeling all wobbly and imbalanced. Gradually, I realized I was probably low on sugar. Had some and felt a little better.
Since then, I started taking a bit of sugar whenever I am over-tired or have been out for too long without enough food. This practice has definitely helped me to not become too weak or too fatigued. So, next time, you feel any of the above symptoms, try counteracting them with a little bit of sweet and if the symptoms still persist, I would strongly urge you to consult a physician. Do not practice self-diagnosis.
Till then, Swathy.
