Well, I dare say my expenditure has risen to a shocking level on cosmetics and beauty products since I have started blogging. And, when I read favorable reviews of something, I am almost always tempted to buy it. I dare say that’s a female weakness to which most of succumb. But, it is obviously not very convenient to spend too much money on every product you want especially when you have to consider brands like Lush and Body Shop and I am not even venturing to MAC or Clinique.
Well, I do think it is always profitable to buy best of the products or from higher brands because of the quality but many people do make do with the cheapest options available too especially when talking about daily essentials. So, how do you really decide what to buy?

Hey, What you say is absolutely true…i am reading a lot on the blogs n land up buying even wen I know i might not really need the product. But, I guess we should be smart enough too, coz we are so carried away by what some ppl say “GOOD”, “WORKS WONDERS FOR MY HAIR/SKIN”…ex: so much hype bout olive oil…bet u, for most of us south indians, coconut oil does wonders…so making best of basic beauty needs and sticking on to it is more important. Makeup products, really cant comment..so be a WISESHE in shopping 🙂
HAppy diwali to all …

Well,we all suffer the problem of compulsive buying at some point of time…and for most people(like me 😉 )its a second nature. So what i do to tackle this prob. is,First-i fix a target money each month i will be spending,so when i reach the limit i do not buy any more that month,i made my self wait for next month’s money.
second-when i want to buy a new product i have never used,i search the net for reviews.[Be cautious here, many people false review it to get free goodies from respective companies].So,i try my trusted blogger’s reviews.
Third-when i go shopping,i take someone who is not a compulsive buyer, rather a practical one(my mom). So,when the SA shows me lots of products, mom makes me to choose the best 2 only.It really helps when you are buying makeup products.

@Megha yeah ultimately every decision lies in our hands!!!aah I am so over olive oil craze…I did use figaro and I really didn’t find it that great and frankly I don’t even believe we get good brands out here so I refrain from buying that…instead the coconut and almond oil are good enough…and yup you are right, one has to be wise 🙂 and yup, I won’t comment on makeup products coz I don’t use them!!!
Happy Diwali to you too 🙂

@Monali hehe…I thought the pic was cute so I created the collage 🙂 I am glad you liked it!! haha if I take my mom, I will end up not buying anything. she has a knack of making everything useless 😀 or otherwise she leaves the decision over me so yup I try to fix my limit too and try not to buy things compulsively but rather take time deciding and all the compulsive buys I did till today really didn’t work great for me so that’s again a bar!!! That’s also a reason why I haven’t yet bought TBS or Lush products in a spree…they are too costly for me to think about but I do plan to pamper myself on a limited budget every month 🙂
Happy Diwali!!!
