Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser

Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser Product Review

I got this liquid neutrogena face wash sometime in October. Now that I am almost about to finish it, lets see what I think about it.

Liquid Neutrogena Pure Mild Facial Cleanser Product Review

Price : Rs 299 for 150ml

Availability : Flipkart | Amazon

Skin Type : It says all Skin Types. But, I am not sure it will suit the oily skin very well. Oily skin needs a little more strong face wash and anyways Neutrogena has deep clean meant specifically for oily skin.

Packaging

Liquid Neutrogena comes in a pump bottle. Very easy to use in the bathroom. But, the pump does not lock so is not travel-friendly. I am so loving the pump bottle that I am gonna store it and use it for something else once the face wash gets over.

Usage and Results

Okay, so here comes the hardest part. Even though I have used liquid neutrogena for almost more than a month solely but I am not sure whether I like it or not. If you have been following my blog, you would already know that my skin faced a major crisis last quarter in 2016. Every single face wash I was using was breaking me out and messing up my skin even more. Now whether that was due to the health issues I had been facing, hormonal changes or just lack of skin care is a debatable topic.

Point to note is that since I have started using liquid neutrogena, my skin has not really given me any trouble. The lather is minimal and my skin does not dry or stretch after washing. There is no layer of grease left behind either for me to complain about. No clogged pores, no breakouts, nothing. But, still, I feel something is missing. Is it that we are too dependent on foaming and heavily lathering face washes? May be the answer is yes! Probably I need to get another bottle of this face wash to really determine whether I like it or not.

One thing which has to be taken care with liquid neutrogena is not to let it go into your eyes. It stings in the eyes really bad!! I am almost blind every time I wash my face and grope my way through the bathroom. So, yes, that is a really big con with this product.

I am impressed with the ingredient list though. The second ingredient is glycerin and third is oleic acid. Oleic acid is a cleansing agent just like myristic acid. This itself makes the face wash very mild and non-drying.

Also, earlier liquid neutrogena used to have SLS but now they have Sodium Trideceth Sulphate which belongs to the same class as SLS. So, yeah, it might be a problem for many people. But, then, it is almost towards the middle of the list so may be the concentration of this ingredient and its harshness is equivalently less.

Final Verdict

I would say give it a try and then decide for yourself if you like this cleanser or not.

What do you say? Have you tried out liquid neutrogena yet? I wish they would release other products in the Indian market as well. Apparently neutrogena has a fresh facial cleanser which is really amazing. Anyways, share your favorite cleanser? Would you like to recommend any other face wash?

I haven’t seen this in shops. Only the Deep Clean variant and I haven’t picked that because it was for oily skin and mine is dry. Currently am using TBS drops of light face wash and loving it. Also Za Total Hydration Face Wash is one of my favorites. Sadly, Za have gone out of India. They had some really good products…

even I found it for the first recently in health & glow. not sure if it is widely available but it is available online on amazon and flipkart 🙂 I bought vitamin E face wash but not sure if I will like it. too creamy!! TBS products are really expensive but if it is good I would love to try it. when are you reviewing it? awaiting it eagerly 🙂 I have never used Za interestingly. innisfree is gaining ground these days. seems like its products are good, any idea?

I was tempted to buy this face wash but since it wasn’t available so I picked the foaming one and it worked fine. though it left my skin dry I settled for it since I have an oily skin. I don’t like the packaging this liquid Neutrogena face wash has!

wow! I loved its packaging the most coz of the ease to pump out the product even with soapy and slippery hands. which foaming face wash are you talking about?
