Today I am reviewing the forest essentials facial cleanser. But, before that, let me share I did something with you.
I finally got to visit Charminar on Ramzan night. And, it was fabulous. There is jostling and pushing and everything but nothing could beat the lights and merriment and the famous Nimrah Cafe’s irani chai and osmania biscuits. It is a experience which should be done every year!!
Anyways, coming back to the forest essentials facial cleanser, I am double minded about it even after using for 3-4 months.
Forest Essentials Facial Cleanser Mashobra Honey, Lemon & Rosewater Product Review
Price : Rs 1,075 for 200ml
Skin Type, Texture and Fragrance
This face wash is meant for dry and normal skin.
Forest Essentials facial cleanser comes in two fragrances – rose and neem. I suppose. I like Mashobra honey range of products with them for their amazing fragrance specially their body oil. It is heavenly.
The texture is just like other gel face washes. It is thick and not too runny. Produces a very light foam.
Packaging
Comes in a transparent bottle with pump mechanism which makes it easy to dispense just the right amount of product.
Usage
Just two pumps are enough to cover face, neck and decolletage. Sometimes, I like to go overboard with 3 pumps or 5 pumps when I use oil to remove sunscreen.
How does it feel on Skin?
With just a little water, the face wash lathers and cleanses off the skin well. It feels a little oily on the skin but does not leave any residue behind after being washed off. I like to use it in the morning instead of evening.
I have a feeling that it does not work well to remove oil or cleansing milk and sunscreen residue so I prefer to use a stronger face wash, preferably something with SLS.
Results
The face wash cleanses well as long as your skin is not too dirty or has a lot of makeup. As it says, it is a delicate facial cleanser and works well in that department. It does not leave the skin stretchy or dry. You can skip the moisturizer if you feel like even in winters.
And, if I can say, this product lasts quite long. I bought it in February and have been using it since then and I have managed to finish only 1/3rd of the product. The expense gets justified for the long usage of the product.
Overall Verdict
Definitely expensive but forest essentials facial cleanser seems like a good investment to me. Do try it if you have dry skin and have been looking for a gentle face wash. You can get the travel-size bottle to try it out.
So, have you tried out any of the forest essentials facial cleansers? Do you like them?

I have tried this one but it was clogging my pores . Such a disappointment. Even their date and litchi cream did nothing for my skin . Ubtans and body mists are nice .

hi Anusha. thank god you also faced the same issue. I have also faced the same. I need to update the review. check out today’s post where I have mentioned the same problem – the face wash post. it does clog my pores and their litchi cream was way expensive for what it did. so true! not tried their ubtans but i have their body mist which seems to be a little extra concentrated since it always burns when it comes in contact with my skin.
