Which is your favorite beverage? As for me, I am an all rounder. I like my milk tea, herbal teas, infusion teas, coffee, hot cocoa, juices and wines. But, if asked which one I love the most, nothing better than sharing a cup of tea with my mom. It is more of a ritual than a beverage. There is something so familiar and zen-like with that hot glass in my hands and I take my own sweet time to drink it off.
So, when Teamonk (absolutely love the name) approached me for a review of their teas, I was especially excited to try out their calming teas. I got six different varieties of infusions to try out. Different flavors each day, double yes!! Usually in the absence of my mom, I like to have infusion teas instead of the milk. Also, the best part of having infusion teas is that you do not get addicted to them the way you get addicted to tea or coffee.
How to infuse infusion teas?
I have learned a golden rule while preparing infusion tea long long back – never to boil water. Every infusion needs a different temperature of water to brew perfectly and the ideal is just when the water starts bubbling. The tea is sip-able at the temperature, leaves do not get burnt and leave a bitter after taste and it is hot enough to soothe the senses. Also, brewing time for each tea is different and depends on how strong you want your flavor. So, experiment!
